Confirmation
The Confirmation Journey is a time of learning, growth, asking questions, and discerning what kind of faith a young person wants to make for themselves.
Confirmation signifies a young person’s transition to owning and taking responsibility for their faith and commitment to God and the Church.
Confirmands are part of a cohort of other youth, typically those in 8th or 9th grade, and paired with a mentor who accompanies them on the journey as they learn and serve together. The next cohort will begin in Spring 2026. Information for that cohort will be available in late 2025.
Confirmation is deconstructing the faith tradition inherited from their parents and reconstructing a new life of faith, which they have claimed for themselves. Before confirmation, it is like Jesus is your parents’ friend, and the confirmation journey is about building a relationship with Christ that doesn’t rely on the parents to keep it going.
Information for the Spring 2026 Confirmation Cohort will be available late 2025.
