Info for Parents

We are committed to you, your teen, and your whole family.

Parents, we at DPC know that raising a teenager is difficult. Being a teenager and dealing with high school is difficult!

We offer a variety of activities that regular Sunday services, Bible studies, youth group meetings, mission trips, community service projects, and social events. We also offer opportunities for our youth to participate in leadership roles within the church and take an active role in shaping the direction of our community. These outlets will teach faith, responsibility, and foundational values.

The Youth Group community at DPC is a place you can trust. When you drop off your teen (or they drive themselves) to youth group you can feel confident they are in good hands.

Pastor Tully also wants to empower you to be a confident faith leader in your own home. If church is the only place children and teens learn about God, then they aren’t learning enough. 90% of faith development happens at home. We offer resources, advice, and support to ensure your family’s faith flourishes. Remember that Parents who treat Church as optional shouldn’t be surprised when their children grow up to treat Jesus as unnecessary.

DPC Youth is a community where we joyfully participate together in practicing and sharing God’s love.

DPC Youth’s vision for its graduating seniors is that they will:

  • Develop a relationship with God and knowledge of God’s love for them
  • Develop connectional relationships within the youth group and the church
  • Develop spiritual curiosity
  • Develop a foundational understanding of Christian beliefs that they can rely on
  • Develop leadership and ownership in DPC’s youth ministry
  • Engage in Christian service and be empowered to share their gifts and God’s love with others in their time with DPC Youth and as they continue on their faith journeys past high school.
